The "INSPIRING CREATIVITY FOR CREATIVE EUROPE" project, funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, addressed the educational challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic over its 24-month duration.
The project aimed to establish a sustainable education program for low-skilled adult learners in the creative industries. With a consortium of five organizations from four European countries, the project focused on bridging gaps in digital technologies, creating and design skills, marketing, and support within cultural and creative industries. Targeting unemployed/newly graduated adults, those affected by the pandemic, low-skilled adults, and freelance creative workers, the project successfully achieved its objectives.
Through four transnational project meetings and various online and face-to-face interactions, the consortium collaborated to develop skills, strengthen local and international partnerships, and enhance the recognition of creative skills through e-assessment in adult education. The project also delivered a Creative Skillset MOOC, fostering collaboration between education providers, universities, cultural organizations, SMEs, civil society organizations, and creative workers.
Achievements include skills development, international collaboration, recognition of creative skills, enhanced collaboration, and the successful implementation of the Creative Skillset MOOC. The main outputs comprised an e-Assessment Tool for Creative Skills and a Creative SKILLSET Online Training Platform, contributing to improved employability and local development.
The tangible results encompassed a research report, online assessment tools, training platforms, transnational meetings, multiplier events, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials, all contributing to the development of creative skills and addressing unemployment.
The project's short-term results include addressing skills needs, providing training opportunities, fostering knowledge sharing, and improving employability in cultural and creative sectors.
